Pierre Frey | Organzino – Malachite

A silk velvet made only from grade A cocoons, spun from bombyx worms fed exclusively on white mulberry. The filaments go to an Italian spinner who turns them into organza — the most precious silk thread, formed from two singles twisted so the natural shine is drawn out. It is exceptionally regular and takes dye better than any other silk thread, which is why the colours run so deep.
