Papyrus is a graphic, contemporary pattern echoing the papyrus and vegetation of the Nile, printed on a metallised raffia ground laminated onto non-woven. The ground is half the design: real raffia texture with a mineral gleam beneath the drawn reeds, so plant is depicted on plant fibre. It brings an ancient river's vocabulary to the wall in a thoroughly modern register — botanical, textured and lightly luminous.
