Petit Sceaux is a magnificent printed cotton featuring sinuous flowering stems in deep, rich hues, evoking the fragility and elegance of nature. The floral pattern is inspired by a Chinese painted silk much in favour in the eighteenth century, a replica of which is preserved in the heritage collection of Maison Pierre Frey. The winding stems keep the composition in constant gentle motion — a courtly design that never stands still.
