Qara is a jacquard built on a graphic Hungarian-stitch pattern, a reinterpretation of traditional weaving rather than a straight revival. The stitch reads as architecture at a distance and as handwork up close, which is precisely the balance a good seating cloth needs. It is woven in Pierre Frey's EPV-certified workshops in northern France, and it is to seating that it is particularly suited — a fabric with structure, rhythm and a clear point of view.
