San Marco is a wool and silk rug, entirely and artisanally hand-knotted in Nepal, which reinterprets the splendid marble inlays of Venetian churches. The marbles are mixed and composed into a graphic ensemble that has outlived every fashion since — geometry devised for stone floors five centuries ago, translated into knotted pile. The silk catches light where the marble once did.
