Satin Coutances Positif is a recoloured toile de Jouy reproducing L'Abreuvoir, a canvas printed at the Manufacture Royale Oberkampf around 1792. Designed by Jean-Baptiste Huet, it depicts the countryside as an ideal living environment — the pastoral dream that made these printed scenes the furnishing passion of their age. The original document is kept in Pierre Frey's heritage archives, and this edition honours its drawing faithfully.
