Tilicho is a semi-plain plaid worked in cut pile — Himalayan wool velvet crossed by lines of silk velvet — handmade in the house's Nepalese quality. The plaid is felt as much as seen: the silk lines catch the light differently from the wool ground, so the grid emerges and recedes as one moves. Discipline and softness in the same object, which is rarer than it sounds.
