Toundra is the transcription into carpet of one of three hand drawings imagined by Guillaume Delvigne for Maison Pierre Frey. Original and singular in shape, it takes a notably dry aspect from its varied wool loops, while the volume of the largest loop recalls the ink line on the designer's paper. A drawing that survived its own manufacture — which is the highest compliment a rug can be paid.
