Vert-Bois Rayure takes a charming hand-painted design of the eighteenth century, preserved in the Maison's archives, and sets it against an added striped backdrop. Cloths of this type, called Peking after their Chinese origin, were intended for women's fashion. Digital printing on non-woven reveals the detail and intensity of the original — dressmaking's delicacy, restructured by the stripe for the wall.
