Acara is a decorative weave built on a jacquard loom, and the mix in the yarn is doing the work: viscose brings the lustre, cotton the body, linen the dry handle. Woven cloths like this age better than printed ones because the pattern is structural rather than applied, so it does not wear off the surface. Eleven colourways run from Chinchilla and Marl through to Navy and Serandite, which is an unusually wide range for a weave of this complexity.
