Forenza is a pure cotton velvet, woven in Italy, with the dense, matte-lustred pile that cotton gives and synthetics imitate badly. It is rub-tested to a severe domestic grade, so it upholsters properly — sofas and chairs in daily use, not just occasional pieces. The pleasure of it is entirely tactile: a deep, even surface that shades as the pile is brushed, reading slightly differently from every angle and at every hour of the day.
