Izara is a tapestry weave from the Otillo collection, worked in India in a cotton-rich yarn with a bold herringbone built into the cloth. The construction gives it the dense, slightly nubbled hand of old tapestry work, with colour buried in the weave rather than sitting on the surface. Best used where it can be touched as well as seen — cushions, occasional chairs, upholstered stools — and left to mellow.
