Mendel is a textured weave from the Alston collection, a cotton-led blend of mixed yarns that rates to a severe contract standard, which is to say it will outlast most of the furniture it covers. The surface has a soft, granular depth, reading as a plain from a distance and revealing its mingled fibres up close. Oeko-Tex certified, with flame-retardant treatments available, it is a genuinely hard-working cloth.
