Merletto is a damask rendered in glass beads: the traditional motif is traced across the wallcovering in a fine beaded surface that glitters quietly as light moves across it. The effect is closer to frost than to sparkle, ornament held in check by the familiarity of the damask drawing. A covering for considered rooms, powder rooms and evening spaces especially, where its surface can catch lamplight and repay a second look.
