Mimi Velvet is an épinglé from the Temperley London collaboration, its creaturely spots and striped shading drawn in cut and uncut pile so the pattern is read by touch as much as by eye. The viscose pile is dense and cool under the hand, and the cloth rates to a severe contract standard, serious durability for so decorative a velvet. It upholsters beautifully and makes cushions with real presence.
