Romo | Oku – Olivine

Oku is an abstract embroidery worked over a cotton ground, the stitching loose and gestural, closer to drawing than to needlepoint regularity. Thread sits proud of the cloth, so the design carries real relief and shadow, changing as light rakes across it. A fabric for curtains, blinds and cushions, anywhere the handwork sits close enough to be read, and its abstraction lets it live with pattern and plain alike.
