Selsey is a plain cotton from the Kemble collection, washable, with the soft, matt face that only simple cotton cloth possesses. It is deliberately unassertive, a palette cloth for gathering, piping and layering. Its rub count is a careful-domestic one, so it belongs at windows, on blinds and in loose covers rather than on fitted, hard-used seating. Honest cloth, honestly specified, and all the more useful for it.
