Stria is a flame-retardant velvet from the Zephi collection, a stripe carried in the viscose pile itself, band against band, so the pattern is made of depth and sheen rather than drawn lines. The modacrylic in the blend makes it inherently flame retardant, and at forty-five thousand rubs, severe contract, it is a velvet for public rooms as much as private ones. The stripe orders a piece of furniture without ever shouting at it.
