Tabora is a fire-retardant velvet from the Zephi collection, its geometric figure cut into a dense viscose pile so the pattern reads as much through light as through line. The ground is a viscose and modacrylic weave, rubbed to a severe-contract Martindale of 40,000, which makes it one of the rare decorative velvets that can be specified for hard-working seating without apology. Up close the pile shifts as it is stroked, and the geometry softens into something closer to shadow.
