Romo | Talulah – Twilight

Talulah comes from the Temperley London collaboration with Romo: an épinglé velvet in which cut and uncut pile alternate to draw a fine geometric stripe. Épinglé is a slow, loom-intensive technique — the looped pile catches light differently from the sheared, so the stripe appears and disappears as you move around it. The pile is viscose for depth of lustre, and at 30,000 rubs severe contract it is a working upholstery cloth, not merely a decorative one.
