Taryn is a wide-width textured plain from the Elva collection, woven at nearly three metres so full-height curtains can be made without seams. The yarn is a considered mix — polyester and linen steadied with wool and a touch of viscose — which gives the surface an irregular, almost heathered grain rather than a flat, featureless field. It behaves like a natural cloth but drapes with more discipline, and it is the sort of quiet background fabric that makes everything placed against it look better.
