The source was a collection of Sixties costume jewellery, and what survives of it in the weave is the geometry: small linked shapes repeating at 6 cm by 9 cm, close enough to metal discs chained together that Rubelli reaches for Paco Rabanne's unwearable dresses as the comparison.
It is Trevira CS throughout, so the flame retardancy is inherent in the fibre rather than applied to the surface, and the certification is broad: contract curtains and upholstery in the UK, M1 in France, B1 in Germany, Classe 1 in Italy, CAL TB117 in the United States and IMO 8 for marine. 510 g at 145 cm, with colour fastness to light of 7 out of 8. Five colourways. A small repeat of this kind is forgiving on a complicated frame, which is where it earns its keep. Made in Italy.
