Houndstooth, pulled out of shape until the interlocking teeth stop being a check and become something considerably less orderly. Rubelli named it for the witch of Slavic and Russian folklore, which suits a pattern made to misbehave.
Vivid touches of colour break the two-tone logic that pied-de-poule normally depends on, and the repeat is large for a check at 46 cm by 70 cm, so the distortion stays visible instead of being lost in the density.
