Cuoridoro were the gilded and tooled leather wall coverings that lined Venetian rooms in the baroque period, and examples can still be seen in the Palazzo Ducale. This reproduces one in cloth. The pressed relief of the original comes through as a change of weave, and at any distance the effect is of something worked rather than printed.
The vertical repeat is 106.8 cm, so a full curtain drop shows the design once, much as the leather panel would have been read. Acetate, silk and linen at 383 g, 140 cm wide, seventeen colourways, which is a generous range for a design of this weight. Rubelli rates it for light use, meaning curtains, panels and cushions, and not seating. Made in Italy.
