The Indian silks woven in the region that gives this cloth its name are the reference, and the effect has been recreated with jacquard weaves rather than with silk: gloss and matt threads alternated so that the surface has body and texture instead of the flatness a sheer usually settles for. Linen makes up nearly half of it, which is where the dryness in the hand comes from. 140 cm wide at 200 g, four pale shades. Made in India.
