The rib is the given here; the interest is in what interrupts it. Small irregularities come through the cannete as dots and dashes along the line of the rib, enough to keep a plain from going dead under electric light. Cotton with silk and viscose, so the hand stays soft rather than crisp. Twenty colourways run from neutrals into brights, and the palette was built to sit with the Damasco cloths.
