The chain running through this stripe came off a fragment of early nineteenth-century wallpaper that Luke Edward Hall found in a London museum collection. It has been kept small, at a 7.5 cm horizontal repeat, so the chain reads as an incident inside the stripe rather than as a motif in its own right.
Woven as a taffeta in Trevira CS at 320 cm, which is the number that matters: at that width it hangs railroaded, with no seam across the drop, and a tall window can be done in one piece. Inherently flame retardant, certified for contract curtains in the UK, France, Germany and Italy, with IMO 7 for marine. Four colourways, 470 g, made in Italy.
