Confetti, thrown and caught mid-air: irregular geometric shapes at several sizes, scattered with no attempt at order. Luca Nichetto drew it for Carnevale, his capsule collection for Rubelli, and the reference is the Venice carnival specifically, not some general idea of celebration.
This is the smaller of the two scales. The repeat runs 15 cm vertically and 33.8 cm across, tight enough to read as texture from the far side of a room and as drawing when you are close to it, which is useful on a chair where a large figure would only be cut about by the frame. Woven entirely in flame-retardant polyester at 660 g, certified Italia Classe 1 for curtain use, and rated to 28,000 Martindale rubs. Eight colourways, 135 cm wide, made in Italy.
