Frottage is the trick of laying paper over a textured surface and rubbing until the grain comes through, and it is where this pattern starts. Not a drawn figure, then, but a lifted impression: all grain and no outline, which across a wall gives an even, faintly restless surface with nothing to fix the eye.
Nine colourways, and they divide into two behaviours. The metallics read differently depending on where you stand in the room; the pastels do not. Cloth on a nonwoven ground, sold by the metre at 135 cm wide with a 57 cm vertical repeat. Soil-repellent finished and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
