Rubelli | Fresco Wall

Shine against matt, and almost nothing else. The pattern has no colour to carry it and no drawn outline, only the contrast between polished and dull, which is exactly how the remains of old painted decoration read on a Venetian wall once the pigment has gone. Held at arm's length it is a texture. From across a room it resolves into an ornament.

Cloth on a nonwoven ground, sold by the metre at 135 cm wide, with a 115.4 cm vertical and 66.3 cm horizontal repeat. That is a long vertical repeat by any measure and it needs costing into the quantity. Soil-repellent finished and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
