Rubelli's own studio drew this tartan rather than borrowing it from a clan, which is why the proportions are wrong in an interesting way: the blocks are large, 77 cm down and 67.5 cm across, half the width of the cloth.
The warp is semi-shiny viscose over a cotton ground, so the check picks up light on one axis and not on the other. Every colourway is reversible, giving two faces to work with. 680 g and 30,000 Martindale rubs, rated by Rubelli for heavy use. 135 cm, made in Italy.
