Chinese printed flowers, assembled from more than one source and then translated into weave, which flattens them: the shapes stay elegant and stylised but lose the wetness of print and gain the texture of cloth.
Viscose and linen, 450 g, with the horizontal repeat at 70 cm, exactly half the 140 cm width. Rubelli rates it for regular use, though its tear strength is modest on the EN 14465 scale, so it is happier on a cushion, a headboard or a small chair than on a sofa that takes daily punishment. The nine colourways run from a group of close neutrals out to much sharper greens and reds, so the same drawing can be quiet or not, depending on where you take it. Made in Italy.
