Rubelli | Grancanal Wall

Luca Carlevarijs is the painter usually credited with inventing the Venetian view, and the scene here comes from one of his etchings, made in the first years of the eighteenth century. Rubelli enlarged it rather than repeated it. The design is a mural: four panels of one metre each, making a scene four metres across and three metres high, which is close enough to full scale that you stand inside the view rather than look at it.

Digitally printed on a nonwoven ground and supplied as a 12-metre panel roll, in a single monochrome colourway. Certified to EN 13501-1 and ASTM E-84, and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.

It wants one wall and no competition, so a dining room, a stair or the end of a long hall, and it is better lit from the side than flooded from the front.
