Fil coupe leaves the floating threads cut and free between motifs, which is how the cross hatching here appears to be suspended in the transparent ground rather than woven into it. Rubelli reaches for the murrina, the glass cane sliced to show its pattern in section, and the comparison holds: the marks look embedded in something clear.
At 105 g it is the lightest sort of sheer, and at 320 cm it hangs railroaded across a wide window with no seam. Four colourways, each of which shifts the colour of the hatching rather than the ground. Trevira CS, flame-retardant by fibre. Made in Italy.
