The drawing behind this is a sketch held in the Victoria and Albert Museum, made by a well-known eighteenth-century textile designer. It has been printed digitally rather than woven, which is what allows the metallic effect of the original cloth to be carried across along with the pattern itself.
The floral is light-handed and the palette pastel, so it reads as decoration rather than as a period statement and will sit happily in a bedroom or a dressing room where a heavier document print would close the space down. Printed on a nonwoven ground, 70 cm wide in 10-metre rolls with an 86 cm vertical repeat, in five colourways. Certified to EN 13501-1 and ASTM E-84, and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
