Nothing has been tidied up. The floral comes from the second half of the nineteenth century and has been reproduced in the state it was found in: brushstrokes still visible, edges frayed, patches where the pattern has worn away to nothing. Most reproductions clean that out. Here it is the substance of the design.
The repeat runs across two 70 cm panels, so the full figure is 140 cm wide and 125 cm tall and needs both drops hung together to make any sense. Digitally printed on a nonwoven ground and supplied in 12.5-metre rolls, in two colourways, one pale and one considerably darker. Certified to EN 13501-1 and ASTM E-84, and tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
