A man and a woman walk through a garden that means them no harm. The clouds above are doing nothing in particular, the planting is generous, and nothing in the scene is about to go wrong. It is a fairy tale told in the manner of a Mughal miniature, where landscape and incident carry equal weight and everything is drawn small.
The jacquard is semi-lustrous, which suits the subject: enough sheen to model the figures, not so much that the ground competes with them. The repeat is 75 cm vertically over 70 cm across, so a single scene reads clearly at curtain scale.
It is expressly not an upholstery cloth. Use it for curtains, blinds, panels and cushions. Three colours, 140 cm wide, woven in India.
