Still water, disturbed: irregular lines run across a silk satin ground and break its sheen the way small waves break the surface of a lagoon. Peter Marino drew it as one of three jacquards for Rubelli, and the palette comes from Tiepolo, whose light is the reference across the whole group.
The vertical repeat is 106 cm, which is long. On a curtain that is an advantage, since the design completes itself once in a normal drop and the eye reads it whole instead of as a repeat. Silk, cotton and acetate at 135 cm and 390 g, intended for decoration rather than seating. Five colourways. Part of the proceeds goes to Venetian Heritage, towards the restoration of Venetian works of art. Made in Italy.
