Stone is where this one starts: the inlaid marbles of the baroque church of the Gesuiti in Venice, cut and fitted into pattern, read back into a woven damask. Translating a hard-edged intarsia into cloth is what gives the figure its slightly unyielding outline.
It is double-faced, both sides usable, and all ten colours are listed reversible. The base is Trevira CS, certified French M1, German B1, IMO 8, Italian Classe 1 and to the British contract standards for curtains and upholstery, which is why it specifies as easily for hospitality as for a house. A 60 cm vertical repeat over 34 cm across, 135 cm wide, made in Italy.
