Two things are superimposed and neither one wins. A seventeenth-century English textile sketch keeps its outline while the veining of marble runs through and behind it, and what you see depends largely on how far away you are standing.
Cupro makes up better than a quarter of the blend, which is where the fluid handle comes from, and the repeat is near square at 72.6 cm by 69.6 cm. It takes upholstery and drapery equally, and it suits the room where a plain would be dull and a clear pattern would be too much: a library chair, a pair of curtains in a hall, a window seat. Eight colours, 140 cm wide, made in Italy.
