The chenille is viscose and the streaks running through it are cotton, and because the two fibres take dye at different rates they come out of the same bath at slightly different depths. That mismatch is deliberate. It keeps the surface moving instead of reading as a flat block of colour, and the result is close to what the name promises: soft, uneven, velvety in the way moss is velvety.
At 820 g and 50,000 Martindale it is upholstery weight and will take heavy use, which puts it on sofas and armchairs in rooms that are actually lived in. Design Formafantasma. 135 cm wide, made in Italy.
