The pattern imitates a mesh of thick threads in three colours, quilted up in matelasse so the imitation carries real relief. One of the wefts is genuinely recovered material: yarn taken from the false selvedges that come off Rubelli's own looms as waste, spun back into the cloth. The warp is evo nylon, from castor seed.
