The gradient runs selvedge to selvedge, one colour resolving into another across the full 140 cm width, and the horizontal repeat is that same 140 cm, meaning the cloth is a single continuous fade with nothing repeating at all. Building that into a jacquard rather than dyeing it in took a good deal of working out.
Nearly three-quarters silk, 120 g, so it is light and it drapes. It is a curtain fabric and nothing else: hung full, the fade reads down the length of each gathered fall. Three versions, each a different pair of shades. Made in India.
