Gods, actors and acrobats, painted in watercolour by Luke Edward Hall, who names Pompeii, Bloomsbury and Renaissance fresco as his sources and does not appear to mind that they disagree with one another. The figures can stand alone or be set among the rest of the cast, the vases of flowers, the fountains, the columns and friezes, so a wall is composed rather than bought by the roll.
That is the reason for the format. It is made to order and sold by the square metre, printed 50 cm wide, with the composition settled before anything goes on the machine. This is the version on smooth nonwoven, which leaves the watercolour clean and unmediated; the Textured version puts it on a canvas-like vinyl instead. Either can be printed in monochrome or in the softer palette taken from the faded walls of old buildings.
Tested to EN 12149. Made in Italy.
