The repeat is only 23 cm, short enough that the eye stops reading it as a pattern at all and takes it for a material, in this case a fine woven straw handled as a micro-texture rather than at natural scale. The relief plays positive against negative, so the surface has a faint vibration to it in raking light.
Vinyl on a nonwoven base, 70 cm wide in 10-metre rolls, in four neutral colourways, with a soil-repellent finish. Certified to EN 13501-1, ASTM E-84 and IMO 5. Made in Italy. It is the sort of ground that does well in a corridor or on a stair, where a wall is passed rather than sat in front of.
