Phulkari is the flower-work embroidery of the Punjab, worked in floss silk on a coarse ground. The pattern here takes its geometry from that tradition: rhombuses building out of one another in a continuous field, with the layers overlapping so that light catches them at different depths and the surface reads as three-dimensional.
It is a lampas, so the figure is carried in supplementary wefts over the ground, which is where the relief comes from. A small repeat, 16 by 11.5 cm, 580 g, 26,000 Martindale, rated for upholstery. 135 cm wide, and woven in India, which is where the reference comes from.
