Lines crossing lines, extended until the grid stops reading as a grid and becomes a field. The pattern comes from Gio Ponti, and the weave gives it pronounced relief, so the network sits above the ground rather than in it.
That ground is silk satin, which is what the relief is playing against: a flat sheen with a raised matt line drawn over the top. Cotton, polyester and silk, 380 g at 140 cm, a 29 cm vertical and 35 cm horizontal repeat. Rated for light use. Seven colours. Made in Italy.
