Reticolo began as a silk lampas in Rubelli's Gio Ponti collection, and its whole character was in the relief of the weave. Carrying that onto a wall meant cutting an embossing cylinder for this design alone, which is not the usual economics of wallpaper and is the only way the raised grid survives the change of medium.
The repeat is small, 30 cm vertically and 35 cm across, so it behaves as a texture at any distance beyond a couple of metres. Vinyl on a paper base, 70 cm wide in 10-metre rolls, in six colourways. Certified to EN 13501-1, ASTM E-84 and IMO 5. Made in Italy.
