Peter Marino owns a set of Tiepolo drawings, and Rococo is what happened when he pulled them apart: the figures and the scrollwork abstracted until only their movement is left, then woven back in as light, not as image.
This is the first of four and the shortest in repeat, 69 cm by 70 cm, near enough square, so it covers a surface evenly instead of making a single event of itself. Linen carries most of the cloth, with silk and metallic yarn for the shift. Both versions are reversible and can be used either face out, which is worth remembering where a curtain is seen from two sides. 140 cm wide, 340 g, made in Italy.
