Cotton is the ground for this one, nearly three-quarters of it, which pulls the whole cloth back towards matt and lets the silk and the metallic yarn do their work against something quiet. It is the plainest-footed of the four Rococo brocades and the easiest to live with.
Like the third in the series, its horizontal repeat runs the full width of the cloth, 136 cm, so the drawing does not repeat across a drop; the vertical repeat is 96 cm. Peter Marino's source was his own collection of Tiepolo drawings, abstracted until only the motion of the original line survives. Offered in a single reversible version at 300 g. Made in Italy.
